Great trip worth the early start, and the 500 (?) steps! I’m 69 and didn’t have a problem with them. You can buy fruit juice and are loaned a walking stick if wished!

A place to be emerged with God'd energy! You just be there early to be able to live this experience. 560 stairs are worth it! There is something about being near sooooo many "golondrinas "! Highly recommend this place!

This is has been the most beautiful experience in my life. Seeing the sparrows dive at 95 miles per hour and hearing the sound of hundreds of them diving at the same time is a blessing.

This is one of true marvelous natural events -- if you get to see it. Getting to the Sotano is no easy feat. It is high up in the hills, some 30-45 minutes from town. From there, you have to descend nearly 600 steps to...More

Got here just before dark and the birds were coming in to roost. The parakeets were fluorescent and the swifts make a sound I doubt you've heard before. It is worth the drive. You can camp on the road above the hwy and be rewarded...More
