Great venue good for both serious climbers needing an indoor training facility on rainy days and for families needing something to keep the kids amused. Routes are varied and well graded offering a challenge for all abilities. Afterwards there is cake at the Cafe - what's not to like !

Rope protected routes are creatively set and a great challenge. Bouldering facilities too. And fixed ropes for cavers to practice on. A pretty impressive venue for a small village. The management of the place is done remotely from Inglesport shop/caf where superb flapjack is sold!

We took our 4 children, ages between 7 and 10, for a one hour session with Graham. All the kids and adults had a great time and overcame fears to reach the top including my height challenged 7 yo (see photos).
Great communication with David by email to make the arrangements. Thank you for the extra time to make sure everyone had an equal number of attempts.

Me & my Husband visited here on a wet Sunday afternoon when we were in the area. In all honesty, we expected more. For an area that has such a climbing and outdoor culture, we assumed the wall would be much more impressive, but then again, we understand most people must to stick to outdoor; just a shame that there isn't as good a wet weather facility. Inglesport shop itself is great & the staff are so incredibly friendly & helpful. You have to visit the shop first to register to climb or boulder & then you are given a fob to gain access to the wall anytime for your session. Being new to the area, we felt that there was not enough information within the climbing centre itself & as we were climbing out of shop hours, there was no one for us to ask. We have been spoiled by the likes of Boulder World Belfast & Red Goat York that such a small wall with limited climbs & holds was quite difficult to navigate. We're used to holds in a particular colour meaning a particular grade. Here it seems they are marked with tape but this is not explained clearly & left us quite confused for a while. There were only a couple of other people using areas of the wall which was good as a few more would have made it crowded. The bouldering was good for a quick session but couldn't have spent all afternoon here. The place definitely seems to require an update. We cut the session short anyway as both needed the toilet but couldn't see any sign of one. It was only as we were leaving that we noticed there was a toilet outside around the corner, again, for newbies to the area, this would have been useful to have some form of direction or sign from inside the building. We did have a fair enough climb here, it's just a shame that it's not that user friendly. We left feeling glad we'd been but we won't be back. Thank you to the shop staff for your helpful & friendly advice.

We stumbled upon this place when googling ‘things to do near Settle in the rain’. Had a great time. The staff were so accommodating of our total lack of experience and really good with the children (aged 5 and 11). By the end of the session my 11 year old was scuttling up the wall like a spider (she climbed higher than me!) We will definitely go again.

Visited the climbing wall tonight with a family intro session, and was fantastic, with lots of advise and supervision from the really patient and knowledgeable instructor (Graham) we had a great time and all enjoyed the session. Kids are 5 and 11 to give you an idea, all the equipment supplied and for a good price too. Just go to the outdoors equipment ship in the village who were really helpful. Would definitely recommend. Thanks
