We dropped in during a cold, wet October afternoon and were pleased to find that hot food was being served. We had a warm welcome and there were good menu choices, so we both had Dave's steak & Boltmaker ale pie, served with chips and a proper jug of gravy - delicious! The Mason's is friendly and good value too - thanks!

The pub was pretty busy when we visited, but the staff were really helpful and didn't keep us waiting.
We both had the steak and ale pie which was fabulous. The merlot was fab as well!
Our dog was made to feel welcome, and there was a really friendly atmosphere throughout the place

My wife & I visited the Mason's with our dog Indie while staying in the area. We were made very welcome by the girl serving behind the bar (sorry I didn't get her name but it was Monday evening. ) My wife had the Hunters chicken & I had the Penang chicken curry, both meals were absolutely delicious & definitely home made. As a real ale drinker the Timothy Taylors Knowle Spring Blonde is excellent & I went back on my own on the following afternoon to sample another couple of pints. Rachel who was working behind the bar then was very chatty & an absolute bonus to this establishment, thank you for making me so welcome when I was a solo drinker. Next time we're in Ingleton we'll definitely be back at the Masons.

We stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary following a visit to the Waterfall Trail. Whilst the room was compact, it was very clean and had everything we needed for a one night stay. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. We had our evening meal which was delicious and the breakfast the following morning was 10/10. We would definitely recommend the Masons and we will definitely return.

My partner and I had the pleasure of eating at the masons. We had our dog with us and sat outside in the conservatory. The owners are very dog friendly offering homemade dog biscuits. We both ordered the chicken and ham pie which was delicious. Full of both meat and flavour. Would definitely recommend as we will be eating here again!!!!!

Amazing from start to finish. The service, the food and the atmosphere in the pub were spot on can’t fault it in anyway shape or form. We were predominantly served by Hope who was great, met all our needs and we left so happy that we stumbled past your pub hoping you were serving food still. We will definitely recommend to people who we know visiting the area and we will definitely return if in the area again.

We have all experienced that feeling, usually at Xmas, when we've not been able to stop eating all the fabulous food on offer. It is a heady mix of mild pain but overarching satisfaction leading of something so enjoyable. The Masons will give you that with every roast dinner. But I get ahead of myself. The pub is always a lovely, friendly place to visit. Sat on the main A65 as it passes from Kendal to Skipton, the pub has a small car park, a warm set of rooms to drink and eat in, and an outside area to enjoy if desired. They also have b&b rooms to stay in, but we all admitted that trying to carry your belly upstairs after one of their meals would be a challenge. Lol. The staff are all very professional, in a friendly way. There is a nice choice of local real ales on the bar along with a decent range of spirits. We all decided on roast dinners, from a "kids" plate through to a veggie option. The kids one was a decent sized version of the full roast, and another 2 of us would get that next time, to ensure we don't waste such good food. The veggie one came with it's own "sexy" gravy, as the rest shared a large boat of our own "sexy" gravy, as the menu states. Two of us had roast beef, two had roast belly pork. The pork crackling was so delicious, and the fat below it rendered down. There were three huge slabs of pork on the full roast, and half that on the kids plate version. The beef ones also had many huge and thick slices of meat. A dish of greens arrived, to top up the roasts potatoes, mash, stuffing, and a superb sweet roasted carrot. We also got a family sized cauliflower cheese, with delicious crispy overspills baked down the sides of the dish. Overall, we were left with overstuffed bellies, but thoroughly enjoyed every last bit we could squeeze in. My only "complaint" would be to advertise the "kids roast" also as a "small roast" for those of us who want to be full, but not waste excellent food. Will we return? It's already a given for our next besties weekend, if not most times my wife and I get to Ingleton.

Incredible food and wonderful service . we booked in advance which was obviously needed as the restaurant was full and despite the pressure of full service the food was issued in very good time and freshly cooked . The staff couldn’t have been more helpful , even waiting to ask if we wanted desert out of ear shot of our little one so as not to upset if we chose not to . Wonderful consideration. Compliments to the chef particularly for such delicious food both mains and desert were well thought out , seasonal and well sized. It was a wonderful end to our break and certainly we will be stopping en route to spend another evening here when passing by again.

Fantastic food. Very tasty, well-presented, and great portion sizes. There was a wide variety of dishes on the menu, and the staff were very friendly, efficient and accommodating - prepared to go the extra mile. Excellent value for money. Every single member of our group thoroughly enjoyed their meal- not a single complaint.

We were visiting the area and came here 3 times in the weekend. Hand Pulled Beers and wines excellent with a reasonable price. We ate on Friday and the meal was spot on. All freshly made and delicious. Highly recommend the Buttermilk Curry and the Catalan Prawns. Staff really welcoming. Also had 'Bites' menu selection and the Whitebait was as good as I have had anywhere.
Only minor downside is the premises are now a little tired and in need of a refurbishment, and the fire was out of action.
