We found this small museum by chance and spent 2 hours looking around. There is plenty to see and read about the period and it was very interesting. There are a lot of mementos and photographs included in the exhibits. Lots of military artifacts too....More

My grandchildren really enjoyed looking round the museum, lots of good things to look at, the one item that really impressed them was the tiger skin.

This museum is hidden away inside an old mill. The layout is fairly amateur and home museums of old were. But it contains lots of fascinating material and first hand accounts of events. Absolutely amazing

Thanks to the earlier reviews was able to find this little gem. Its not signposted, but is situated in Hendon Mill which is a storage company. As previous reviewer said, go into Reception office and they let you in. Well worth spending some time there...More

The museum was originally in Colne, in 2004 it moved to nearby Nelson. Make sure you have the correct address, the museum is in Nelson. I followed an old address and turned up in Colne. Fortunately it was only a short bus ride away to...More
