Nice place to visit and learn a little of the history of. However this only works with a guide, if wondering around on your own then Nesebar (much closer to Sunny Beach) is the place to visit..,

Had a lovely couple of days wandering and finding nice places to eat, deffo worth a visit restaurant staff were more accepting of a single dinner than they were in the new town.

Really nice and small streets with stone-wooden houses. Great view on the black see. Minus one point because of lack of directions to the historical places - streets are like a labyrinth :)

I'm a history geek and had very high hopes and (after visiting Nessebur) expectations but we were bitterly disappointed. If you hope to find a beautiful old city worthy of the history of Sozopol, save your time...

You can Go from Sunny beach to Burgas and then to Sozopol,from Sunny Beach to Burgas bus station ticket price is 4 lev. And from Burgas bus station to Sozopol also 4 lev ( so about 4 eur all Your journey). And it is easy to... More

Most people know restaurants. So find a restaurant in old town and ask the locals to point you in the right direction.
