Prathapgharh fort is situated about 30km from mahabaleswar-panchgavi. It's a fort on a hill top. There is only one way to get there, therefore it was beleaved to be a safe place. Panvel is neater through NH17 way than going back to Pune again

Thrilling experience at this place, how people designed this smaller fort with safety and comfort considerations. Water collection and land recharging zone was designed at that time, escape ways created, Devi temple tomb was decorated by 50 kg gold, old sword displayed there etc so...More

Long 450 steps , need will power for normal persons not accustomed to exercise and fitness regime. Wonderful view

Afzal khan was killed by Shivaji Maharaj here. Took guide for 300/- , approximately 450 plus stairs, had a toddler along. Guide explains the history making sense ti the visit. Huge statue of Maharaj at the top of Fort.

The fort is best place to visit early in morning. temple inside the fort is cool place. the roadside stalls serves good food

Dear Manvarasha, you travelling to pratapgarah fort by taxi for four person taxi fare is 1500\rs and 8 person needed 2000\rs required and 3 to 4 hours required for entire fort visiting time minimum required.

Fort is around 20KM away from Mahabaleshwar where you can find many hotels/resorts.
