The train from Calvi to L'ile Rousse is quite dated but that does add to the nostalgia, lovely views along the coast and plenty to do in both Calvi & L'ile Rousse. L'ile Rousse is a lovely town with a busy market, plenty of good...More

Rode from Bastia and Ajaccio. Loved the scenic route - coast, inland mountains, etc. — very cool. The train itself is quite charming.

This journey of about 45 minutes each way at 12 Euro return is well worth the effort to enjoy the views of the coast and also the expansive vista of the mountains inland. Ill Rousse offers plenty of shops and restaurants with a large central...More
