We arrived at the area walking through a park and over various lovely bridges to then arrive at a spot where golf carts drove us to another section of the park where it looked like they were setting up for a jousting match. We then...More

We enjoyed standing and walking in the ancient city wall, and the views of the city from the wall. I believe that there are three historical ancient city wall sections for the Water City, Brick City and Earth City. The wall has a total length...More

The city walls were rebuilt during the Ming & Qing dynasty and it’s very well preserved. Only had an hour to spend here. Hence only managed to visit the East Gate, where there’s a replica model of the entire city. The guide which we hired...More

The wall is well maintained and a major tourist attraction. Visiting the towers is worthwhile. The view from the wall over the park is good. The walk through the park to the city wall is worth doing in itself.

This was our first opportunity for a visit to an old city wall during our recent trip to China. This was well preserved and offered some great views.

The historical and cultural area is primarily a renovated wall section and entrance gate of the original city wall and moat area. The wall is not complete like in Xian but there is enough to do a decent walk. It's been well done and from...More

It was a great place to visit and got to walk in the temple. It has a great view and the area is very clean. It is a bit hard for the buses to park and nearly saw an accident happened. I would go again.

Jingzhou is a great city with a lot of history. The city has preserved and restored its city walls and towers and this gives a feel of yesteryear and keeps the history of its early origins. Although a tourist attraction, the shops are not overly...More
