It was an answered prayer and a big check ✔️ on my bucket list to visit the Divine Mercy Shrine in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental where I had a Divine Mercy Holy Week 2019 Pilgrimage where I pray for miracles and healing.
Maam Elizabeth, on Holy Thursday during my first night at the shrine over dinner right after the holy mass, I was totally moved to tears and all of my body hair raised up from the tip of my head up to the hairs on my legs by her powerful testimonial that totally blew me off. I was absolutely speechless and in mixed emotions. It made me reflect and praise in silence the wonder of God's miracle from the moment she decided to end her life by committing suicide more than a decade ago and, as she found her painless body opened up on the operating table in the hospital after 6 months praying the "Lord of Pardon" booklet when she accepted the Divine Mercy of Our Lord Jesus Christ into her life. She gave me her booklet to pray for healing.
On Good Friday, I prayed the Day 1 of the 9 days Divine Mercy novena with the chaplet at the Divine Mercy Hour at 3PM facing the 50ft statue. During the Santo Entierro Procession at around 5PM, God sent a Dancing Sun/Miracle of the Sun. It was the third time I personally experienced this phenomenon.

Felt like I can talk to Jesus face-to-face. Beware of your children if your're going to visit this place during holy week because its very crowded. I've seen a lost child when we went here. Food is allowed inside the premises. Avoid wearing skirts and sleeveless to prevent hassles.

This is a very large statue of Jesus Christ overlooking the ocean and area. There is a nice garden in front of the the statue that is well maintained. It is a future site of a new church. There is a place to burn candles and go inside the statue. There are also church services at regular times. It is like a pilgramige ? place. It is a bit of a ride by cab from CDO. I do not think that it is interesting for non-Catholics. I just went there because my fiance and her mom are Catholic.

This place is a source of spirituality and inspiration. Not too far from Cagayan de Oro (on the road to Laguindingan airport).
Parking is free since 2015, as well as candles inside the premises (donations are welcomed) and there is a nice garden facing the bay.
In order for women to get inside, long skirt/dress is mandatory. Don't worry if you come wearing a pant or short, skirts are freely provided before accessing the sanctuary.
I highly recommend this place, wether you're catholic or not.

I feel awe, it is a breathtaking view of the sea from the monument of the shrine. The church with crown of thorns around it is very meaningful. The drinking water free that has healing capability is available, free, 6 faucets gushing with water, it tastes nice.

Located in the City of El Salvador, Misamis Oriental which is around thirty minutes away from the CDO town proper. The shrine has a 50-foot statue of the Divine Mercy Christ which was completed in 2008. It serves as a pilgrimage site for the Divine Mercy devotees.
The management do not allow female visitors to wear jeans, sleeveless blouses, shorts or mini skirts. As soon as you enter the gate, on the right side, they offered long flowery skirt for those unacceptable or revealing clothing.
We used the stairs to climb up to the center of the heart of Christ. The stairway is actually the top ray of the five white beams that stream from Christ's heart. The management explained to us that the two rays red and white represent blood and water that gushed forth from His body.
it is a place for peace and solitude.

Hi! Anyone here who knows how to get to Divine Mercy Shrine from Agora Terminal Market? Considering we are 10 pax.
Written March 26, 2019
From Cagayan de Oro City - along the hi-way, you may ride in a jeepney or bus bound to Iligan City or any PUV/SUV passing El Salvador. Then alight in eskina/crossing going to Divine Mercy. From crossing, ride in a habal-habal/tricycle going to the location of the shrine.
So if you're coming from Agora terminal, either you ride a Limketkai bound jeep to reach the hiway or ride a jeep bound to Bulua Westbound Bus & Jeepney Terminal Routes >> there are SUVs and buses to Iligan.
