We paired this up with our Marokopa Falls trip, please read my other review for road conditions and timings. The walk is mild, quite narrow in most places- not recommended to bring a pram if you would like to take the stairs to the top...More

Worth a look but DO NOT do the round trip walk. It's very wet and rough with Stiles to clamber over. Go back the way you came.

This walk takes you into the natural bridge, which is nice enough by itself, but then descends over a fence style into some rolling farmland with jutting rocks and sweet little fantail birds darting around the grass before curving back to the carpark. It packs...More

While Waitomo is world famous for its Cave Tours, this natural bridge hidden in the far west of the Caves is a real gem that is worth a visit. Unbelievably vast, 17m high limestone arch bridge together with various features of a typical limestone landscape....More

We saw this early on in our trip and it still remained a highlight. The walk along the stunning river and sheer cliff face to the 17m high natural arch is spectacular, and then you get to the arch itself. It towers overhead, and the...More

The photos don't do justice to this beautiful spot. It's only a short walk in and the area is so well looked after.

At first I hesitated whether we should come and visit because we were tight on time, but what surprise, a MUST if you were around Waitomo glowworm cave. The road was a bit inland, and not much sign on the way or too many people...More

Beautiful scenery, cool bridge, and we even saw some glowworm webs on the cliff walls next to the path.

The Mangapohue Natural Bridge is just a short (5-10 minute) walk from the car park. It's worth a visit if you're also visiting Marakopa Falls (fantastic waterfall along the same road). We did not do the whole loop; we parked at the car park off...More

Luckily there are multiple sites on this drive cause it is a horrible drive. The hike was nice with lots to see especially along the river. We went at night to see the glow worms which are plentiful and so didn't get to hike or...More

We spent over an hour there, but the walk each way is an easy 10 - 15 minutes. It's absolutely worth it for the bridge itself and the beautiful canyon on the way.

It was an easy walk with many photo stops along the way. Maybe 15-20 minutes each way. An easy, enjoyable walk at your own pace. Well worth the effort. So beautiful!
