4-Hour Hadrian’s Wall Guided Tour

2000 years ago this was a frontier, a place where two cultures collided. Your guide can happily weave a narrative from both the Roman perspective and the native perspective, providing both viewpoints.<br>The Romans always intended to conquer Britain. Julius Caesar wrote about the riches of the British Isles... and also of giants and monsters. While Caesar made initial contact with the peoples of Britain, a full scale invasion would take another 90 years. Political turmoil in Rome was the catalyst for the new emperor, Claudius to bring his forces to the shores of Britain, changing the country forever.

Good for the little ones as they are running around. I found it cold when just sitting watching kids. Come well wrapped up.

I visited here with my daughter and her two friends, we did have a good day, however disappointed that the big slide only opened twice during our visit. When I questioned this, I was told it couldn't be open all the time as the girl who opened it, also had to serve on the food counter, cover breaks and clean tables. A bit disappointed by this, as I felt it should be open all the time.

Took the grand kids 5 & 3 yrs old, great place for them to run around and let off steam, building was very cold, so take a jumper or blanket. Very extensive menu reasonably priced, but the food service is slow, kids ordered chicken goujons but would not eat them as they were so tough. Nevertheless good place for a rainy day

My two (7 and 4) had a great time and the price for entry was reasonable. My wife and I enjoyed the free WiFi, but the cake was mediocre.
