The town of Cotignac is a beautiful place to visit, within the town up a moderately steep walk is a wall of rocky escarpment and limestone caves. The caves cost 2 euro a person to enter. To enter you have to walk up a dodgy...More

Interesting to visit, but you need to have a minimum physical condition to climb the hill. Very nice view to the city from the top

No troglodyte ever lived here. It was used as a stronghold and refuge. The most interesting aspect was seeing tuf (type of rock) being formed!

This was truly fascinating and offered great views of Cotignac from above. Well worth the upwards trek just for the view!

Looked good but it was never open! Though we tried three times even after asking at the tourist office when it would be open

Beautifull ancient site to be visited by steep climbing. Not as impressive as the famous sites in the Dordogne, but worth a visit.

I'm not great with heights and wouldnt bungee-jump even if someone paid me a million bucks ... but although there's a slightly hair-raising climb up a steel spiral staircase, I wasn't at all nervous probably because the views are so breathtaking. I really found it...More

You get to climb up into the caves where there is even a spiral staircase built into the rocks. The view is great..
