We did 33k of the East Matukituki Valley with Isaae from RunAways - a running inspired holiday company who looks after everyone beautifully. It was a day I will never forget. The most awe inspiring views, beautiful creeks, raging rivers, stunning waterfalls - with cable...More

It took sometime to drive to the base of the mountain, be prepared to go through unsealed and sometimes rickety roads crossing some streams along the way. Well worth the drive. Very rustic, fresh air, and rugged terrain. Reminds one of a bit of heaven...More

Our group of four headed out to the Rob Roy Glacier Hike which is in Mount Aspiring National Park. The drive is about 1 hr long from Wanaka...goes from a paved road...to a gravel road...thru pastures & quite a few stream crossings with your car....More

Best part of our trip, we took a helicopter trip with aspiring helicopters and landed on one of the glaciers. It's also the place of where I proposed. Unbelievable.

Most overall beautiful park we visited, only rivaled by Abel Tasemen. We did the Rob Roy Glacier walk which gives you much more worthy views of Glaciers than Franz Joseph and Fox. Had I known in advance I would have skipped those stops. Also did...More

It was just too rainy and low cloud cover to appreciate this gem while we were here Jan 2018. This is supposed to be summer, right? What we did do was great, and if we go back we will allow more days around this area,...More

We stayed at Aspiring Hut for 3 nights, and did Day walks in the area, very beautiful! The hut is a lovely hut, well worth the stay but can get crowded!

Well worth the drive along the bumpy and dusty track. The scenery is beautiful, completely stunning. Would love to come back and linger a little longer.

Trekked the 4.5 hour return journey with my daughter, the view is awesome after you reach the peak of the mountain. Must do and this was only 1 hour away from our hotel in Wanaka, what a fantastic find.
