My wife and I hired a power boat “Bib” for the day to explore the coast around Bonifacio. At the pre embarkation hand over we were told in passing that shower was broken; I should have realised then that there may be other problems. When travelling over 10 knots the cushions on the fore-deck flew up and almost went overboard, as the press studs holding them on were no longer functional. The stay for the extendable sun shade rattled at the deck fitting so alarmingly we had to travel at much reduced speed as it looked like it may break loose at any time. When we sought some shade at anchor and extended the awning it was thread bare with several holes, and the retaining straps had to be tied as the clips were not functional. We returned the vessel at the agreed time and in the same condition as we started, but the owner who we had handled all our dealings (in a somewhat sour manner at the start of the day) stood 10 meters from us on the dock in clear view and was not interested in even asking how our day was. Although we had no mechanical issues with the vessel the experience overall was far less than we have enjoyed with other boat charters in Italy, Turkey and Australia. Best avoid this lot
