The little train is quite a pleasant way to get up and down the steep hills of Bonifacio, especially with three kids in tow on a boiling hot day. We paid 20 euros for our tickets, as they gave us one child for free, randomly,...More

The train departs from the harbour and runs up to the citadel , you can stay on the train or get off and visit the citadel and then return to the train to get back to the harbour . It is not expensive and a...More

On our guided tour our guide had manage to get a train just for our group so I did not experience some of the problems that others have mentioned. This is a much more energy efficient way of travelling as the amount of steps and...More

On a hot day, this avoids having to climb up the hill to the citadel. There are some lovely views on the way up and it helps orientate yourself for exploring later on. It costs 5€ for a return ticket.

Chaotic queue system but finally we are squeezed on board. Travelled to the top of the hill enjoying the view over the harbour below us. After we had explored this amazing village/town we waited for the return train. First one was full with pre-booked coach...More
