It was closed when i arrived at the place because they were not able to secure a DENR permit. Despite that you are allowed to visit the area but no activities. The dunes is fantastic. I went there during sunset and it was spectacular.

This trip to La Paz Sand Dunes was actually not included in our itinerary but the hotel owner convinced us to try it. He even gave a discount so we headed out for it the next day. I was with my 2 sisters and 2 nieces and we were the first ones in the location. Before we proceeded with the 4x4 ride, we were asked to sign a waiver. We were all excited and nervous because none of us have actually tried this. All 5 of us stood at the back of the 4x4. The first few meters of the journey was smooth but when we got farther, the driver intentionally made abrupt stops which caused us to shout louder and held our grips tighter. Little did we know that this ride would give us the adrenaline rush. It was like a roller coaster ride without your seatbelt on. There were 4 stops along the way. The first one was the viewing deck of the town. The place was nothing but amazing as we watched the sun rose from that site. The second stop was the 360 degrees view of the sand dunes. Thirdly was the sea shore with huge waves and cool breeze. We were all exhausted from the bumpy ride yet our adventure wasn't over yet. Our last stop was the sandboarding area. The unlimited use of sandboard was included in the fee. I, as an adrenaline junkie, was the first to try it since every one else were afraid. My 43 year old sister was hesitant at first but later on she did it. I was just so proud of her because she conquered her fear of heights. We only did 2 rounds each because going up the hill was tiring. The journey took almost an hour to finish and when we got back to the camp, more groups were coming and the sun was already high up. It really pays to wake up early to avoid the crowd and the heat. Overall, it was great especially because i did this with my family. I wouldn't trade this moment for anything. Truly, this heart-pounding, nerve-wracking, jaw-dropping experience was one for the books.

If you're not afraid of heights and of not being in control, this is for you. Hahaha.
You'll ride a 4x4 truck that will take you through the sand dunes, it's a combination of small and high hills, you'd feel like you're in a roller coaster (with no safety rails, hahaha)
You can choose to stay at the back or beside the driver (less extreme because you'll have your seat belt and the cushion of the seat will lessen the bumpy ride)
Aside from the thrill, the view is to die for! The driver will stop atop of a hill overseeing all the sand dunes and where it meets the ocean. Feels like a view not within the Philippines

Im in awe when we reached the second point of the 4x4 sand dunes adventure. Such a beautiful and amazing view. We were nervous at first but our driver Wacky was a pro so we totally enjoyed the ride. We saw many eagles, drove at the seaside and experience the highest drop. Paid 2500 and gave some tip to Wacky for the great service. There were photographers where you can buy the ecopy of photos. Paid 700 plus the printed copy of 250 for a total of 950 to get everything.

Riding the 4x4 is so much fun, all family members were able to join the ride. Spectacular beach views, very challenging 4x4 tracks. My kids really enjoyed sand surfing, which is one of a kind. Entire family had fun.

If you are going to this place, I recommend you to try the 4x4 and do it in noon time. The sand dune is beautiful when the sun is out. You can also sandsurf here.

Terrific drive through the dunes. Lovely sunset and a go on a sand board. What more can you want. Highly recommended and all the family, about 15 of us enjoyed it. They stood in the back of the jeeps but I took the option of sitting inside.

Went to this place as early as 5:30 AM, as we were informed that it will be best to experience the sand dunes during sunrise. Unfortunately, it was cloudy. But the crew made sure it will be an experience we will remember. Even if we are with kids aged 13 and 10, they made sure that it is safe for us to ride the 4x4, but maintaining the adrenaline rush for the adults. And the crew are very accommodating and supportive. My son is afraid of heights, the sudden bumps, ups and downs, but they helped us make him overcome those fears. they were even able to convince him to try the sand board. the crew is simply the best. They made the experience more wild!

Hi we were planning to go maybe July time hopefully after this pandemic but we don’t know what time and whether we have to book in order to do the activities, we are also going to use our own personal van to travel instead of the bus not too sure if there will be a car park provided?

I'm sorry, I don't have any contact numbers, the house owner where we stayed arranged everything for us. I think you can just go directly to the site, they have plenty of 4x4 so you won't have to worry about it. 😊

We would like to do this activity but we have a child of 3 yrs old, is it possible to do it anyway with her?

I'm not sure if they will allow it since the 4x4 ride is kind of dangerous for children to stand at the back of the vehicle.

Hi. Can we go directly for sand boarding or need talaga mag rent ng 4x4 (to reach the destination) para makapag sand board? A
aoc827
Cebu City, Philippines116 contributions
Yes, you can just opt to do the sand boarding alone without renting the 4x4. Rate would be different and I think would be per hour.
Sand boarding area is just around a 75-100 meters from the registration area.
