Nice place to spend a few hours. Apparently don't get under the water fall as you will get sucked down and get caught under the rocks. Good on a hot day.

Tinago or "Hidden" is located in Biliran, Leyte.

It will take away your breath as it mightily lets water flow to a vast area of calm water. However, it can be quite challenging to swim during seasons of strong current.

A lower layer provides more accessible swimming area where guests can also jump into a 14-feet deep water from a 10-ft cliff jump.

Truly enjoyable!

My friends and I were on a tour, and we went here right after we got off the boat from Sambawan Island. The place is definitely not that easy to reach, but I suppose you'll be able to rent a tricycle at a reasonable price. There are restrooms and changing rooms, but they were not that clean (but only because the floor was too muddy).

Although it's not the best-looking waterfall you'll ever see, it's still undoubtedly beautiful. Before you get to swim, you'll have to walk across several huge rocks. They are very slippery, but you'll be assisted by friendly locals. It was almost four in the afternoon when we went there, so the water was already quite cold (but you'll get used to it). The water is clear and relatively deep. If you're brave enough, you should try to get close to the waterfall.

Very picturesque. We went on a Thursday and there was no one in sight. Popped in the following day and it was very busy. So try and avoid weekends if possible. Not our favourite waterfall on the island (Bagongbong) but worth a visit! Easy to get to and not as much of a hike as others!

It is called Tinago Falls because it was named after the sitio/village. The horsetail falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Visayas.

Tinago is a good picnic site. There are concrete bleachers you can use. There are also clean and properly maintained comfort rooms.

Being close to the main cross-country road, Tinago falls are the easiest falls to access on the island. Clean toilets and change areas and even a guide to advise swimmers where the safest places to swim and dive were.

It's good to know we still have picturesque waterfalls like this one in the country. There was a very friendly and helpful caretaker who also assisted those of us brave enough to walk through the falls and get our picture taken on top of the big rock in the middle.
