Came back to see this because I felt guilty that I didn’t see it the first time and I’m glad I did. It is gorgeous. Water is cold but once you jump in and get on with it than it’s all good. We rented push...More
I visited all three of the Blue Lagoons and this was by far the busiest, being closest to Vang Vien. The lagoon itself is small compared to the others too, which makes the overcrowding worse. It is definitely not a relaxing experience. The only saving...More
Super crowded like everyone says and write. But if you wanna go to the cave walk through and climb up! It’s worth it. 10000 kip entrance.
Walk through the blue lagoon 1 and climb up. If there is enough sun you don’t need the flashlight...More
It gets overwhelming crowded towards the afternoon as many tour groups are likely to end the day tour at Blue Lagoon 1. Go if it's your first time there because that's what everyone in Vang Vieng is talking about if you're looking to go Blue...More
We expected some beautiful piece of nature with a nice Blue Lagoon in it. HOWEVER when we arrived at the big parking (around 10AM), we could already see a lot of people and hear some screaming and shouting. We already paid the 10k kip each...More

I travelled from Vientienne to Vang Vieng by taxi, took about 3 1/2 hours and coat US$100. I visited Them Phu cave and Blue Lagoon as part of a full day tour also including the water cave and kayaking on the river (booked from a tour company whilst in Vang Vieng). Can't remember the exact price but it was ridiculously cheap.
