We did this on our last day at Yosemite. Gorgeous and well maintained. The ranger who greeted us was kind and knowledgeable.

My son and I hike a lot. So the walk there wasn’t particularly challenging. It was April, warm outside, we carry water and more supplies than we could reasonably need. Wear hiking boots or at least sturdy shoes. We always see people setting out in...More

Lovely views. The waterfall was still in good flow despite it being the end of summer. Well worth the stop.

This is not a tough hike but it can be unpleasant if not prepared adequately. There is very little shade except for the end where you hike through a beautiful, fragrant grove (bay trees give off a wonderful scent). I highly recommend wearing a hat...More

This hike begins at the tunnel by the O'Shaughnessy Dam at Hetch Hetchy. It is just under 5 miles round trip to the waterfalls, which were still quite full in August. The trail is well marked and maintained. The challenge is that much of the...More

This hike is less popular than many others in Yosemite. You will not be alone, though. After a winter of lots of rain and snow, all the waterfalls are awesome. One can get up close with this one after an easy/moderate hike. Very cool!!!! Hike...More

A great hike to a wonderful waterfall. But DO NOT try to cross the bridges at high water - people have died doing so!

The gushing waters through O'Shaughnessy dam, walk through the tunnel, hike to the falls - the Hetch Hetchy experience is awesome. We went just before the season and also early during the day so parking was not a problem. Reaching the fall and standing in...More

The Wapama Falls trail starts from the O'Shaughnessy Dam and is 5 mi/8 km roundtrip. The trail is rated moderate (should be rated easy). The trail condition is very good - either fine gravel or smooth granite. There is a small downhill portion at Wapama...More
