Surrounded by the domes and meadows, valley is one of the must visited places in Yosemite. Try to find a quiet place beside the river and enjoy a bath or only the view. If you are lucky , you might see some wildlife.
Of course, both views are amazing, but I liked Valley View better than Tunnel View. You are standing at the foot of Merced River with Bridalveil Falls right in front of you. El Capitan is on the left, which is my favorite landmark in the...More
If you want to see some of the park’s great views but can’t hike or want to stay away from the crowds then walk the Valley View loop trail. It is a nice walk with awesome views. I saw people driving and stopping at different...More
Definitely worth stopping here for a good look at the water, el captain and this end of the valley. Note that contrary to google maps the parking lot is on the left hand side of the road and there is no trail. Much less traffic...More
STOP and take in one of the most amazing views. El Capitan, Bridalveil Falls, Catheral Rocks, meadow, river, the beauty and quietness will take your breath away. Sit on rocks near river and listen to birds, wind on skin, you might get lucky and see deer...More
We drove the valley in the morning and the views were fabulous. Not to be missed. The only caution is that parking is very limited, so if you want to stop and hike, start early. We did get a parking spot when we needed one,...More

I loved this part of Yosemite because it wasn't difficult to access. You could just park on the side of the road and walk around. El Capitan is right there towering over you, its a great spot to relax and take some pictures.
Valley of Yosemite is the center of a park and most often first thing visitors see upon arrival. Most famous points are visible from the bottom (waterfalls, half dome and El Capitan). Good place to start exploration of the rest.
