The Sentinel Dome is the most easily accessible dome in Yosemite and makes for a great hike. My wife and I did the dome and taft point with the pohono trail loop for about 5 miles round trip. It can get windy up on the...More

This 2-mi RT hike is worth the time. Go early in the day as parking will fill up, and the hike is > 50% exposed (so don't want to be there in full sun at mid-day in the summer!). Spare enough time to spend as...More

STOP and take the hike out to life changing views. It's an easy hike/walk onto dome at an angle. The flat boulders make steps to the top and views of Half Dome, Tenaya Canyon, Mirror Lake, Yosemite Falls, Clark Range. Take water, hat, snacks, binocular...More

Nice hike to overlook of the valley including, El Capitan, Yosemite falls, Half Dome and Nevada/Vernal Falls. Hike is not flat but not bad. About 45 mins to an hour in. We spent about an hour at the top. Worth it!

We hiked in from the Taft Point Trailhead. It is supposed to be a bit longer than from Glacier Point but a bit easier. You can get a map from the Park Rangers that will provide the different trails at the Glacier Point area along...More
