Much like Glacier Point Sentinel Dome provides awesome views. We hiked from Glacier Point, taking a side trip to Sentinel Dome before we descended into Yosemite Valley. The hike up to Sentinel Dome was relatively easy. It is a bit steep and could be slippery...More

This is a great hiking option along the Glacier point road. Stop at the trail head for parking just off of glacier point road and you get to choose between two 1 mile long hikes, sentinel dome to the right and taft point to the...More

After a lovely hike along the top of the valley we finally came to the climb to sentinel dome. Several members of our group bailed, but my sister and I persisted. Despite the high altitude and our concern about the climb we proceeded and we...More

Getting to Sentinel Dome is a short hike that is not too difficult once the snow melts. The views at the top of the dome are amazing.

If you climb to the top, Sentinel Dome offers a fabulous view of the surrounding mountains without too much effort to get there. We hiked from the Sentinel Dome-Taft Point parking lot to Glacier Point, with an interim stop at Sentinel Dome. Very enjoyable hike....More

The 1 mile trail from the trailhead car park to Sentinel Dome was relatively easy and even the dome itself wasn't too bad and then you are rewarded with amazing views of Yosemite and the valley. Better views than at Glacier Point.

This is one of the many impressive mountains in Yosemite National Park. The best view of it is from Glacier Road.

I really did not know what to expect, and when we saw the dome I thought it was near the end of the hike. No, then you climb the dome. At the top you have a 360 view of the key points of Yosemite: El...More

Great view of the valley and el capitan as well as for sunsets. Quite a long walk from the car park but if you go further up the road to the fire road and park across from the gate, this is a much shorter and...More

Good trail, Amazing sites from top. We saw small children at the top. I'm not sure how a 4 year old climbed up there but it was impressive. Not too steep until the base of the dome

There's a shuttle from Yosemite Village up to Glacier Point that will drop you off. There's a fee and you can book tickets ahead, I believe, from either Curry Village (Half Dome village as they call it now) or Yosemite... More

Yes, but you might be carrying her for some of the way, and need to hold her hand at the steeper parts. Good views without having to go up the very last steeper dome part. Need hats and sunscreen too, plus water.
