They have done a wonderful job of explaining and demonstrating the caldera and the volcano that created it. The displays even managed to engage our 9 year old grandson. (Granted, he is off the charts bright :-)

A small exhibit on the geology of the area. Really enjoyed the 2 movies shown here about Yellowstone and the animals. Worth the time to watch both. From here it is about a 1 mile walk to view Yellowstone Canyon and the Lower Falls.

I love going through this visitor center. The films are excellent and educational. There is a bear spray rental right outside. The restrooms are large and clean. Big plus!
