Don’t miss - lovely drive
Sep 2020 • Couples
We made the drive enroute from the Upper Geyser Basin to Mammoth Hot Springs and were aptly rewarded. Firehole Canyon’s walls and the river are absolutely gorgeous! ... and then, there’s the falls. It’s not to be missed!

Take a Drive
Sep 2020 • Couples
Take a drive along Firehole Canyon Drive to check out the landscape, wildlife and an important geyser. It is easy and was not very crowded when we visited late September.

Don't miss a single pull off at Yellowstone National Park as the pandemic is here and you are not allowed to do much else.

Beautiful Scenic Drive
Aug 2020 • Family
Firehole Lake Drive is a 3-mile, one-way side road off the Grand Loop located between the Old Faithful exit and Madison Junction. It has many geysers and hot springs that you can see from the road. There is also a boardwalk around the Firehole Lake itself, leading you to small geysers and springs. We saw people swimming and some bison and pronghorn. I would recommend.

First stop on the loop is the falls.
Sep 2020 • Couples
One of the smaller falls in the park, but still worth a stop if you can find a place to park on the narrow road that passes by it. Be sure to stop by the field before it to see the Bison napping.

Beautiful Drive
Aug 2020 • Couples
Beautiful drive along Canyon Drive with some great stops along the way. The falls are pretty with a number of smaller falls along the drive. There is a parking area off to the left & not visible until you get close to Firehole Falls.

Spectacular waterfalls and cascades!
Jul 2020
Well worth a couple of miles' detour, this loop drive provides vistas of falling water that are marvelous and beautiful. You drive one-way up the canyon, so you see the falls from a perfect perspective. There are places to stop and take photos, but no facilities otherwise.

More geysers, little wildlife
Jul 2020 • Family
This is a short one-way road road headed north between Old Faithful and Norris. Give it a shot and see some more geysers along the way.

A Road Less Traveled

Take this drive if it isn't busy. Lots of awesome views that you'll be glad to see. We didn't see any wildlife here, but lots of nature.

Nice option to main road
Jun 2020 • Family
We were up early and in Yellowstone by 6:30am. We took the Firehole road and we pleased as we ony saw one other vehicle. We had the pull off all to ourselves. We got all our photos in less than 10 minutes.

This waterfall is right off the road so it was easy to see with no hiking.

We are glad we stopped.
