I come here on occasion, but never participate in the dog park. My girl doesn't like dog parks. LOL. That being said, the dogs that do attend seems to be well behaved.
This park has concerts every so often and is across the street from Music Hall.

This is a great city park. We went for a flea market and it was very busy, but we could tell that the park was lovely and there were such nice features for kids too, a well-done playground and a fountain area to cool off in. I'd like to come back on a quieter day and truly explore the park and surrounding area.

Definitely a little of everything in a compact space in the city. The dog park had fresh running water for pups to drink, the kids playground looked fun, plenty of shade trees to relax under....I might return for a pregame soccer party because the setup looked great.

Nice park in the middle of the city. Easy access walking from nearby neighborhoods and has multiple public transportation stops nearby. Many restaurants and bars nearby, including within the park. Lots of nice green space and park benches. Definitely worth walking around if you're nearby, but I wouldn't go out of your way to just come see this park.

Great park in the midst of the city. I learned that this was a former cemetery, which explains some of the plaques we saw in different areas. There is a fun fountain area, and we did see kids playing in it when we were walking through that section. There were several open green areas for picnics and just sun-bathing or taking a nap on the grass. We also saw some people with camp chairs or lawn chairs set out in different spots. They were setting something up a rally event for the soccer game that night, so there were also some tents and tables near the central part of the park. Also a cute little dog park area!

We were visiting the Over the Rhine Neighborhood and discovered Washington Park. It's a very nice landscaped open park across from the historic Music Hall. Great place to sit, relax, fresh air, and sunshine. We had our lunch here while enjoying the views of the park and the Music Hall. The park is nice, clean, and safe.

Located square in the middle of the worse area of Cincinnati crime. They try to make you believe that the area is going through a renaissance but as a lifetime native it is still on of the most crime ridden areas of town. Vagrants and drug dealers are the norm here. Avoid at all cost after dark.

What can I say? Beautiful views, tons of money poured into making this park a beautiful place right in the heart of OTR. When the park initially remodeled itself you could actually enjoy it.
But on the last 2 occasions it has been overrun again by the locals who are teaching their children to become just like them. They now have play ambassadors to watch over the children in the playground area because they are so bad.
I'm talking about 5 year olds threatening my son calling him racial names that he doesn't even understand. Throwing rocks at my 2 month old baby girl. They mothers sitting around doing nothing. It is scary.
Then on the last occasion I had pit bulls attack my dog in the dog park. I love pit bulls despite what people think, but common people if your going to own a dog treat it well! It's insane.
Such a bummer bc that was once my kids favorite park but I refuse to go.
My friends say that in the evenings during special events it is less troublesome.
It's such a shame bc I loved the eclectic mix of races all together in a pretty green space in the middle of the city, but it sadly has become overrun again and shortly will return to it's once before state.

It's pretty, but the area is really run down. There are a lot of homeless traversing the area, and they are pretty aggressive. I'm 6'5" and 215 lbs with a scary looking biker beard --- I still wouldn't go near this place after sunset.

The grounds are lovely and well maintained. It's obvious that extreme efforts are made to manage the park, the grounds, and maintain it's family-friendly environment in an up-and-coming neighborhood.
I did my wedding photos here, so it will always have a special meaning to my marriage and my family.
The live concert series are wonderful during the summer.
Of course Luminocity was a hit.
Often has food trucks for a nibble.
Lovely dog park!
And $5 for a 24 oz beer at the concession stand is awesome!

I don't know for sure, I don't think you need a reservation bu is 1st come 1st served. However, for a more accurate answer, contact city officials and they can give you the correct information.
