About
Since opening in January 1999, the Battleship Missouri Memorial has attracted more than 8-million visitors from around the world with a fascinating tour experience showcasing the USS Missouri’s unique place in history. Located a mere ship’s length from the USS Arizona Memorial, the Mighty Mo completes a historical visitor experience that begins with the “day of infamy” and sinking of the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and ends with Japan’s formal surrender aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945. The USS Missouri had an astounding career over five decades and three wars – World War II, the Korean War, and Desert Storm – after which it was decommissioned and donated to the USS Missouri Memorial Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Association operates the Battleship Missouri Memorial as a historic attraction and oversees her care and preservation with the support of visitors, memberships, grants, and donations.

We toured the Battleship in complete amazement! We were so intrigued by it all, we lost track of time. The history of the entire ship was very interesting. Make the time to visit this Battle Ship. You wont be disappointed.

The history around Honolulu is so incredible, and having the ability to tour on the Mighty Mo, wow! The views are stunning the emotions taking it all in & being reminded of 70 years of some of the greatest history while on board this ship is a must for all generations. I am glad to have gone on my own not with a tour (not that I ever have), but I got to take my time, strongly recommend!

Must visit, at least once, when you visit Oahu. It's just a great part of history and great for everyone to see and learn.

If you love history, you will love this floating museum and historic ship. I loved the feeling of being in the same place where so much history took place. It was $37 per person.

A visit to the USS Missouri also known as the Mighty Mo is essential because this is the place where the treaty to surrender from World War II was signed on September 2, 1945.  Unlike visiting The USS Arizona a visit to the USS Missouri is not free.  The cost for an adult and a child is $56.15.  There are guided tours that I highly suggest taking because the guide provides more detailed information regarding the USS Missouri and specifically information on how the treaty was signed to ultimately bring an end to World War II.  Upon visiting you will witness an amazing view of the USS Arizona which makes for nice photos.  Personal tip please arrive early to have enough time to tour the ship and learn about the history.  You must take a bus to and from the Pearl Harbor visitor center and the process takes time.  We only had about an hour and 20 minutes due to our late afternoon arrival.  However, that time was well spent and so worth the history lesson that we received.  Enjoy your historical journey; it is one that will not be easily forgotten.

Take the free 35 minute tour given by a volunteer, then you can tour the rest of the ship on your own. Makes you feel small to be on the ship with all that fire power.

Beautiful immense ship with lots of important modern history. Very well maintained.

You can have a guided tour on the deck. You can find ac, restroom, water fountain, and seating areas.

We spent about 2 hours but I wish I had more time. There is a video about the three battles that the battleship fought in. I will definitely find it and finish watching it.

The sheer size of this vessel is astonishing. The higher you went on the ship, the steeper the steps were. I couldn't make it to the bridge for that reason. As we disembarked, we stopped for a genuine Dole Whip. Lunch at the trucks was pretty good too. And another fantastic view of the Arizona memorial from the edge of the dock.

This memorial was organized by amply staffed tour guides. We had a choice between a self guided tour or guided by a tour guide. We chose the tour guide, thinking we would get more information, and boy, were we right! Cedrick was our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and loaded us up on facts and statistics about The Missouri. We truly appreciated his tour.

Worth paying a visit. The ship is huge, so you can easily spend 2-3 hours onboard. Some parts may temporarily be inaccessible, as the active USA soldiers/veterans had event there, but it's so much to watch, you won't even notice. The staff is dedicated and they seem to be proud of working there. As a foreigner I could see people were feeling patriotic there, which they certainly should.
