Beautiful views of the natural coastline here, don't miss it. A gorgeous spot and interesting history with local sites to honor military, seafarers and others.

Delightful views and scenery but make sure you drive around with the sea to your right, you will get better views. There are many pull ins for great pictures, lovely sights to be seen and history to learn. We were very happy we made the...More

All those Mansions and Salve Regina University. Distinguished architecture and then God's country! Yes it is a delight to feel the wind off the sea and look north and south as the ocean waves wash onto the shore. What a fresh feeling.

Sometimes I drive along Ocean Drive to cheer myself up. It's absolutely stunning. On a sunny day, you can't help but feel cheered. Even in the rain or mist it's incredibly beautiful. There are places to park and climb on a few rocks or fly...More

We did this drive on an afternoon after a storm and the views were awesome. The waves hitting the rocks were incredible. There are places to park and get a "closer look", just be careful taking that picture/selfie. Strong winds and wet rocks are not...More

We boarded the trolley in Newport and the driver took us all over the city, the coastline and around the areas where massive mansions dot the landscape. The Atlantic Ocean is the perfect setting for residents to live and enjoy nature, so seeing this for...More

Really nice drive around this part of Newport. Beautiful ocean views. Very big homes here to see as well.

This is about a 10 mile drive through Newport and the views are gorgeous. The ocean vistas alone are worth the drive but combine it with the beautiful mansions and it's like being in a different world.

We traveled over Ocean Drive the morning after an October northeaster, which left the ocean waves churning, and crashing on the rocks. It was a beautiful, sunny morning, and the fury of the ocean was electric, and exciting.

Ocean drive does not disappoint. They say it’s 10 miles long but it certainly doesn’t seem it. You can’t get enough of the ocean scenes, fantastic houses and curvy road. When we win the lottery, we made a pact to purchase a home here!

Beautiful as it all is, the traffic can knock you out. It won't be a quick side detour from your trip to PA. If you have the time to add one night to your trip, I would suggest doing that rather than exhausting yourself by... More
