The trail is easy at first, a big paved sidewalk. After is passes the Breakers, it starts to get rough, walking over rocks, etc and I would only suggest for those that are used to more strenuous terrain and hiking. There is also a point...More

This had pretty cool view of the ocean and the mansions in Newport. Great place for dates, family site seeing, or friends who want to explore.

The cliff walk provides excellent views of the beaches and mansions. The cafe at the Breakers makes an excellent stopping point for lunch on the walk.

This walk is amazing...the views are spectacular and even despite the heat and humidity we loved every bit of it. My girls especially loved the view from down the 40 steps.

The Cliff Walk is a good 3.5 Mile Walk Way. It is definitely treacherous at times. Did the walk with my 13 year old son and husband and in total between going through The Cliff Walk and up Bellevue for change of scenery it took...More

Absolutely beautiful walk. We arrived early so we were able to park on a side street. You can see the back half of the mansions along this walk.

Love this spot in the world. I never tire of seeing it! Wear sneakers if you want to take a longer walk -- there is a section that goes over rocks.

Cliff Walk is a spectacular way to approach The Breakers and the other "cottages". Unfortunately, on this visit we ran into a heavy rain and we had to move quickly to avoid streams of water coming down the paved path.

Breathtaking scenery. Parking can be a real pain. But this should be on your must do list if you're anywhere near Newport RI.

We started from where the 40 steps are and I can't remember the name of that street. But on that street you can park on the street and just pay the meters.
