This park was originally going to be a wildlife park, but went bankrupt. The citizens of Flagstaff acquired it and have very wisely preserved it from residential or commercial development. Instead they turned it into part of the FUTS (Flagstaff Urban Trail System). The walking...More

Go in the morning if it is going to be warm, as most of the trails are in open areas of a plateau rimmed by trees. We went midday and due to breeze we survived, but still really warm. Lots of joggers, some fitness stations...More

This is a nice scenic walk. Nice wide crushed stone trail with interesting views of mountains and trees. Easy walk with no major inclines. Many crossing access trails so you can shorten your walk if you wish.

this park was only a 5 min drive from our B&B. Parking was free, it got very dark, and the stars were amazingly bright.
