The market has the feel of a tourist stop in Mexico. Hundreds and hundreds of items (much of it duplicated) in dozens of shops. Things were not as inexpensive as I expected but there was a lot to choose from. The merchandise was authentically Mexican....More

Market place is full of vibrant colors, music and food. This place reminds of the movie Coco. It is walkable distance from the river.

Spent the day shopping at market square and eating from the food trucks. It had the authentic feel of Mexico! My children loved it too!

We visited this market over St Patrick's day and it was so crowded that it was difficult to move through the booths. But enjoyable all the same. It is certainly a unique experience.

Took my kids (14 & 12) here for dinner. There was so many people! It was just a huge block party. Lots of music and authentic Hispanic Culture everywhere! It was amazing. Make sure you have cash or you will have to stand in line...More

Loved the atmosphere. We happened to run into a festival. They had live music and amazing food stands. The shops had many nice things from clothes, jewelry, home stuff, and souvenirs. Drinks looked delicious but i was not able to try at the moment!

My first mistake was walking all the way over there. Finally, when we got there spent hours walking and didn't buy anything.

If you want to get off the Riverwalk for awhile, this is a fun area to see. We were there on the weekend. Several bands that were fantastic, lots of shops, eat and drink booths, great people watching.

Weekends there are outdoor vendors and food. Weekdays the inside shops boast local and crafts from Mexico. There are still food and drink vendors at the inside market buildings.

Parking in the area ranges between 5 to 10 dollars. I'm not aware of any free parking. We parked within walking distance to the Alamo, River walk and the Market Square.

Maybe in the outside area but definitely not on the inside unless they are a service animal. I would not recommend it.
