After an expansion which went over a cemetery the tombstones were moved to the front of the church. Unfortunately the church is closed except for services. I believe that the locked doors are a missed opportunity.

We happened upon this church while strolling through town. It is beautiful with markers that are educational and provide insight.

A historic must see. The church is beautiful inside and out. It is said that the church is haunted and that at night there has been activity in the window and bell tower. Great for all ages, in Salem it is best to park and...More

Impressive construction with a panoramic view of the city. 350 stairs and good physical condition is needed.

It seems strange to have a church like this in the middle of this very small town so much so that you cant help but stop to check it out. It is really quit beautiful..

When you're in Salem history and tragedy surround you and that is what makes it such and interesting place. I found this old church and eye catcher. I'm not sure what I liked about it so much as it seems to be fairly modest looking,...More

Thanks for stopping by and for your review, James. We love our stone church which was built in 1833. The congregation still worships in this building. In 1871 a chapel was added to St. Peter’s building, built directly over the old graveyard. Some of the...More
