Numerous shops, restaurants and the Peabody Museum. Lots of construction when we were here in June so very noisy. Nothing special about the street, typical shopping are without the cars.

What a great little area. We spent hours shopping throughout Essex St., there is so much to choose from. Even if you're just going for souvenirs, you're bound to find something unique for everyone on your shopping list. It's not quite on Essex St but...More

Fun place to visit and explore. We actually went in the pedestrian mall more then three times when we were there for Halloween. It was packed on the streets so it was good to get away for a break for a bit

This mall has a tiny movie theater that we go to every year, they also have a collectibles shop and other shops that are fun to look at-we always buy something to bring home.

The Essex Street Pedestrian Mall is a nice place to visit but better in October or when they have their open markets or other events going on. Most of the stores feature the typical salem-witch theme type stuff but the kids love to see all...More

Going in November, there weren't a lot of stores in this mall. We had pizza at Essex Pizza which was good, and did the Escape Room in the mall which was excellent. It was a good place to wander in from out of the cold...More

We visited Salem in the middle of October on a Saturday! Essex Street was on my must list! I am so happy we came! They had their "open market" going on, which is around a hundred arts and crafts vendors set up along the shopping...More

We've been here a few times and every time we seemed to find new things. We simply love this little place... however going closer to Halloween is simply crazy. The amount of people in such a small place is crazy busy. Shopping in some stores...More

The wife and I wandered down the street as we wandered through Salem. I very good way to see a lot of things and not worry about automobile traffic!

Very big on Witches, Halloween, some New Age and very touristy. This is the place one should visit, with out a doubt.

There's lots of places to buy touristy things. I apologize I didn't go into many shops because we had our dog. I can say having been there in both October and May that you'll probably have better luck the closer to mid... More
