I love historic houses and this was a good one. There were several buildings and the grounds were beautiful and the secret staircase was an extra bonus.

Overall, this was a great experience. The tours are guided, but are very interesting and informative. The home, secret passage ways, and grounds were very cool and fun to explore and learn more about! Definitely recommend.

Our tour guide James did a magnificent job with the history of the Hawthorns and the House. Many interesting, almost shocking surprises the House offers. Well worth the time and money to visit.

This was the best tour we took in Salem. The house and grounds are fascinating, and the tour guide could not have been better. There is also a great museum gift shop. Not to be missed on your visit to Salem!

Our tour guide was very informative and fun, even with a bit of a distraction from an annoying guest who's giant camera or video recorder was making irritating noises that he said "he had no control over". She gave a fantastic tour, lots of safety...More

This was an informative tour, my husband and I really enjoyed it while visiting Salem. Max our tour guide did a great job of explaining how the house ended up with seven gables and its relation to Hawthorne and his family history.
