We had the pleasure of touring this building, as well as the neighboring Customs House and Narbonne House (built in 1675!!). The guide from the National Parks was so knowledgeable! I learned a lot, and enjoyed seeing these locations.

This is an interesting home by both its location overlooking the port and the history of the family who lived there.

Got the outside view and the background of the building and the body is underneath the house. You can see the woodwork in the room that President Washington stayed in and for which the street outside is named.

This attraction (the oldest surviving brick building in Salem) is just across from Pickering Wharf on Derby St, located right next to the Hawkes House and the Custom House. Definitely worth a look, a photo, and a quick read of the site's information plaque.

I got to see the outside of this building. It is a good site see. You can drive by it and see it. I did not go in but I had a good time.

My wife and I signed up for this tour at the Visitors Center. This tour is free. The National Parks Service provides the guides and the tour groups are limited in size to enter the two buildings on this tour. Salem Massachusetts is more than...More
