It's easy to park here and walk or bike the flat cinder trails along the canal. You can follow them a long way and veer off to sand trails that lead to the Rio Grande River. Very relaxing.

Ample parking, great section for kid learning. Good info on the petroglyphs, which was our next stop. Open space is a fabulous idea.
