Beautiful building with lots of little cool shops. If I lived nearby I'd probably spend a lot of time reading in there.

Our bike tour guides brought us to the really modern and beautiful library in Salt Lake City. The building is made of glass, and I loved that when entering there was an area along one wall that housed small shops. Everything from a coffee shop to a floral shop was at the library. We were also told that the library did away with fining people for overdue books. There are stairs you can climb to the very top which is about 5 floors. It is an incredible building. Very beautiful and worth seeing.

The building looks enormous and nicely done for a public library. There are vendors on the first floor selling gifts, books, plants and food. The garden rooftop overlooking the city and picturesque, though the plants need more watering. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience for me.

One the the most gorgeous contemporary libraries I have ever been to! Has community shops and eateries on bottom level which generally open at 12.
Well.worth the visit - has art, intersting rooftop garden which is work In Progress. Lots to.love if into architecture, books, libraries, or ideas for a classroom.
Parking free for 2 hours, if you can locate it. I could not but was street bustling with Pioneer Parade set up.

In the library, you can go up to their roof, which has a lovely garden and gorgeous views of the city and mountains. Plus, free bathrooms that are nice!

The library is currently closed! They say it’s due to staffing shortages. They hope to open on February 3rd according to the sign on the door. Surprisingly their website still shows them being open! I’m very frustrated that I had to get to the front door to find out they are closed.

You can find interesting things at public libraries and this spot is a great example of that. The modern architecture combines local shops and library spaces in an inviting plaza. And it is air-conditioned.

While I have only been inside the library once prior to closing due to Covid restrictions, the exterior design and grounds are spectacular. Very modern European in appearance.

We love coming to the library and enjoying the atmosphere and wandering around the grounds and enjoying the architecture. All you need is an ID for a library card!

A fun place to visit if you get a chance. The staff is helpful and knowledgable.
Once you enter the library from the parking the enclosed walkway is lined with retail stores and makes you feel like you are in a very progressive faciility that has turned a library into a more enviting place than the library's of my childhood.
You actually enter the main library through glass doors where you can get on a glass elevator and go to different floors.
The library is a fun place to visit, but the unique style of the Salt Lake City Library is worth a visit.

Yes. The SLC library has free computers for use on the third floor. Copies are available, but I am not sure of the price per copy.
