We made the mistake of thinking that it was a short easy hike to the Marymere Falls and failed to consider that it had rained for several days. We also didn't have the proper foot gear. Despite these difficulties, the falls were beautiful (but not...More

Nice view of the falls after a short walk. Easily accessible. It's in Olympic National Park, and you can park at the visitor center just across the road. There is no fee.

It's a simple hike in with brief steepness at the end. And then you are there. Linger and enjoy the energy. Can you can see the Lady in the Falls?

The last 2/10 mile to get to the falls are a bit strenuous, but worth the effort. Nice wide trail up until the last 2/10 mile.

We stopped at the falls on our way from Port Angeles to Forks. The walk was not difficult, and the forest was so luscious and peaceful. The falls themselves are pretty but it had been dry, so they are likely more spectacular after a rain....More

No on swimming except in very hot summer - if there is such a thing here! The lake is fed from glaciers and is very cold! Look up the story "The Lady of the Lake" and it will give you an idea of how cold it is!
