Beautiful , breathtaking view but sad history during ww2. Need to rent car to get there, no public transport. Bring hat or umbrella and cool drink.

Banzai Cliff - renamed here on T.A. in some odd bit of PC (signs all over the island, as well as the spot itself, refer to it as Banzai Cliff.). There are several monuments and memorials here as well as an explanatory plaque. Photos are...More

Banzai Cliff is worth a stop due to its significance during WW2. It's tough to get good photos of a cliff when you're on it so stop for the history more than the photos.

This is a place you must visit while on Saipan, to pay respect and to feel the warm South Pacific breeze and sub on your face while taking in an amazing view. Many people died here; there are monuments, and amazing views.

This is an amazingly beautiful and solemn place - sunset is very pleasant and relaxing. Take time to look for sea turtles surfacing for air - we saw 7 on the surface at once! The occasional shark can also be seen. Great place to relax...More
