We took a side trip to see this on advice of one of our travel mates. Well worth the stop. Lovely presentation by mural of Maori culture. Very glad we took her advice.

I recommend a stop here to all travellers going through Kaitaia. This place has everything you could need. You must stop here engender if it’s only for a quick break from driving. This place is definitely a real jewel in the northland crown.
