We walked up the hill from big beach not really knowing this was a clothing optional beach. Water was tougher than on Big Beach for some reason - lots of people body surfing, etc and completely uninhibited by clothing. Glad to see people open minded...More

it is a good hike from the parking lot on the end of makeena beach. you must climb over the hill,several big rocks and steep incline,not good if hauling chairs and coolers,very nice beach

If you are the adventurous type, go to Little Beach. It's a beautiful Little Beach, clear water, small private beach. Take your sunscreen!!

Little Beach is a very nice small beach just over the small hill from Big Beach in Makena State Park. Nicely formed waves. This beach is clothing optional.
