A canoe trip on the Wye is a wonderful activity. It is so peaceful and you get to see some fantastic wildlife up close - sand martins, herons, egrets and swans all within half an hour of setting off from Glasbury. The staff here are...More

Great location, very helpful from 1st phone call to end of trip. Equipment is all well maintained. They pickup at the agreed time and make recommendations for your trip. Highly recommended. Perfect 2 days on the river with my son (14)

Despite being rushed off their feet, the team at WVC were polite, helpful, welcoming and most efficient. They have a great spot on the river and the paddle down to Hay (2 1/2 leisurely hours) is attractive and, even after the prolonged drought of summer...More

Just got back from 3 days from Glasbury to Hereford. Great trip and considering the lack of rain this summer (a proper one at last) it was brilliant. During the first day one of us had to get out a few times and push for...More

It is wonderful to hear of people really getting the most out of the trip. It is such a beautiful river and so good to hear you talking of the wildlife - hopefully not a mink (smaller and blacker) but an otter - and so...More

I can highly recommend this company. Extremely helpful staff with good advice on where to stay overnight near the river (we went from Glasebury to Hereford with two stop overs). Our party of four and two canoes were picked up in Hereford and brought back...More

Thank you so much for your kind review - I am really pleased you enjoyed your trip. It is very special spending time on the water and lovely to hear when people appreciate it so much.

We had an absolutely great time and yes because of the lack of rain we had to get out about 6 times in total in 3 days . People who post that they got their feet wet should get a grip and either not go...More

Very un happy with this company. We paid for a full days canoeing however after the first half the river was that low we litterally had to take our shoes and socks off to get out and carry the canoe! Wasn't enjoyable having to carry...More

The river is very low at the moment as we have had weeks with very little rain. We do usually explain this to everyone in the briefing and I am sorry if we didn't make this clear to you. We explain how to best navigate...More

This is something we have done before on other rivers but found that the lack of water on this occasion made it less pleasurable due to bumping off sunken boulders and getting stuck on the shallow bits and there were many. the route card/map lists...More

Yes you are quite right - I will change the map as we do still have the Hollybush Pub marked on there and it has just been sold and at the moment is not operating. I think £25 per adult for a canoe trip to...More

I am afraid we don’t let anyone out on the river on their own. You could try Dan at Riverstrokes who takes small groups of individual kayaking on the river from Glasbury.
