A wonderful place to visit and wander around. Huge waves crashing against the rocks when we were there which made for spectacular scenery.

The coastline in northern Spain has some amazing spots. And this place here is one of them. There's the small Island with the lighthouse, but only Hotel guests and staff has access to it. But to get the great cliff views here you don't need to be on the island itself. You can see plenty from here. There's a small area to walk around as well, also check out the small beach "Praia De Rochas". There are picnic tables and fireplaces for visitors. Parking here is free, but there are only two small spots to park. But we came here in summer on a weekday and it wasn't a problem finding a spot. The views and cliffs here are really amazing. Very satisfying just to be here and watch the waves hitting the rocks. It's a very peaceful, quiet spot. And not that much visited. It can get pretty windy here, so hold on to your hats and bring - even in summer - maybe a jacket.

We made this a quick walk at sunset just before dinner. The light was exquisite for taking pictures.

from the rain. We attempted to picnic at As Catedrais, the Santa Cruz lookout & finally were able to do so at the point. Mountains, plains, rocks gave way to the sea. A nice ocean view on a blustery day.
