    Worth the Hype! Very Cool.
Fantastic Aquarium, fun for all ages. It's popular, but the aquarium is so big you can usually find a spot to get away from the crowds. Loved the shark exhibit, and the giant Manta Rays. I didn't really know what to expect. We were stuck in Atlanta on a layover. This was much better than the Coca-Cola Museum. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

    The museum is as amazing
The museum is as amazing as others have described it. We spent about 3 hours exploring the museum as well as watching the shows. The Sea Lion show was so cute. We actually enjoyed it a bit more than the Dolphin Show. While we were there, many different school groups were visiting, and the Dolphin Show was loud due to children screaming. The show is conducted in a large auditorium. Make sure to make your reservations for the two shows as soon as you enter the museum. There are animal experiences available at a cost and seem very nice. We plan to try those when we visit again.

    Highlight of Atlanta!
This was was a highlight of our trip. We went on a Saturday morning as soon as they opened. It was still pretty busy with a lot of children. We really enjoyed the puffin exhibit and the sea lion exhibit. Lots to see and do here! Great for all ages!

On e of the finest aquariums.
Beautiful Aquarium. Large facility with multiple floor. Nice good court. Interesting exhibits. Centrally located near Coca Cola, CNN, the College Football Hall of Game, State Farm Arena (ATL Hawks) and the Mercedes Stadium (ATL Falcons).

    Hectic but Great.
There were multiple scool groups touring while we were at the Aquarium. And alright, kids will be kids, but the screams, yelling and obnoxtious behavior was a trial. However, the exibits make it worth while. Sharks, Beluga Whales, Whale Sharks, etc. were a site to behold. Give yourself at least three hours so you don't have to rush thru,

Georgia Aquarium is a Must See!
As an Atlanta local, the Georgia Aquarium is an absolute staple attraction when in town. There are a multitude of exhibits that are well-placed throughout the building and are very easy to follow. They also have some rarer animals such as whale sharks and beluga whales, which are must-sees! Be cautious, though, as items such as dolphin interactions and the sea lion show are ticketed, which cost extra. These are best reserved early. Overall, even the base attractions are fantastic and well worth the price of admission. You won’t leave disappointed!

    Big fins to visit!
The behind the scenes was extra crowded with lots of other yours so it made hearing our leader hard sometimes. The overall noise level in the museum was overwhelming when you were out in the main atrium. It was a fun visit overall though. Dolphin and seal shows were great. Our favorite was the belugas and whale sharks.

    Great
This is an amazing aquarium! The beluga whales, whale sharks, and dolphins alone are worth the visit! The cafe isn’t great, but we were able to snack enough to save lunch for later. I did miss the 4d theatre they used to have for sure. It was crowded but still an amazing experience!

Brilliant , an absolute must if in Atlanta
We started off our two week driving and exploring holiday this time in Atlanta specifically because our son had been watching the documentary. We flew in on the Friday and booked a hotel next to the aquarium. Firstly , as with all of the attractions and museums and trips we have done over the years whilst travelling in the US , your customer service is literally second to none. From the moment we arrived at the Aquarium the friendliness and willingness to chat and inform us of what was happening was superb by the staff , our 17 year old son is Autistic and is absolutely fascinated by wildlife , especially Aquariums and whilst walking around the various exhibits there was always a friendly face all too willing to answer questions and offer up interesting facts and figures. Personally , I think the Aquarium is set up superbly , you can branch off in any direction from the main foyer to discover whatever it is you want to discover next , the shows are easily bookable , either on the App or manually on booking stations within the Aquarium. The huge internal Aquarium with the Manta Ray's, Whale Sharks and various other sea life is an amazing sight...The shark enclosure with the various breeds of sharks is brilliant....Overall a great Aquarium with great shows , great exhibits and great staff....It was that good that after our two week trip we went again before flying back to the UK..

    Awesome experience but follow tips!
We followed the advice of another reviewer, and we are so grateful as we had an incredible experience. We arrived right when they opened at 8am on a Friday and hardly anyone was there. Start to the left at the sharks and make your way around through each exhibit to the right. We got through all the exhibits without much congestion. We saw the 10:15 sea lion presentation, the 11 dolphin presentation, and the 12:15 Behind the Scenes tour which were also the perfect times. By 12:30 it was very crowded, so we got our hand stamped at the guest services desk and went to eat lunch off site since reviews said food wasn’t that great. We came back at 5:30pm, and crowds were gone. We got to enjoy the exhibits a second time with no crowds. We left about 7:30 but could have stayed until close (9pm) just enjoying it all. We did stay at the Hyatt hotel next door which helped us come and go easily. Highly recommended but definitely go early morning and/or early evening.

One of the best aquariums in America. The higlights are the walk-through with marine life (get there as soon as it opens and do the walk through first when you can actually enjoy it before the crowds arrive), the whale sharks, and the dolphin show. There is definately a more intensive theme with the dolphin show concerning human and dolphin relationships--probably because of the intense animal rights protests that have went against all aquariums and zoos over the past decade or so. It's a very good show, but for little ones who want to get wet in the "splash zone" area of the arena--sorry to disappoint, but just a slight watery shower is given. The aquarium has a lot to see, but because of few activities in Atlanta and because of school groups, even though it's the largest aquarium in America, it can also be very congested. So, as I said before, plan to arrive as early as possible.

Great aquarium. Really large and a nice variety of exhibits. Also saw the dolphin show which was fun and interesting although a little short. Nice gift shop but ridiculously overpriced. My son wanted a pair of socks they were $24. For one pair of socks. Sorry that’s ridiculous. Coca Cola had socks for $9.99 a pair

The Georgia Aquarium was pretty awesome! We went the 3rd week in March which was busier than usual with Spring Break happening. So, it was super crowded! It was tough to get through the crowds with senior citizens so they may want to consider having a senior citizen day. So, they can choose what day they'd like to come. Other than that, the Dolphin show was absolutely entertaining! My family LOVED it!

It was my dad's very first time visiting the Georgia Aquarium and he was so very impressed!

Thank you for the experience!

Best aquarium I've ever been to. Very modern, bright, and easy to navigate the different areas. It definitely gets busier as the day goes on, so I would suggest arriving as close to opening as possible to try and beat some of the crowds. Also will give you the best chance to get tickets for the shows since they sell out quickly.

This was truly a great experience! We had the opportunity to Sleep under the Seas! This was a great way to see the aquarium and have a unique experience! They break you up into groups which was great. We had a group of all adults. Then a member of the staff takes you around to see the different exhibits! This was great because it was after hours, so there were no crowds to try and dodge to get a picture/view of the fish! You also get to see a few behind the scenes rooms and areas which is amazing! Before bed you get a snack. Chips and fruit snacks. Then you get to sleep in front of one of the tanks! Our group got the sharks and it was so incredible! They would just swim right up to the glass. In the morning we got breakfast and to visit a few more areas before the aquarium opened to the public! If you can do the sleepover. The opportunity to look at the tanks with little to no people is wroth the price alone!
After the aqwas open we got to see the sea lion show and the dolphin show! Both great. Once the aquarium was open it was PACKED! Tons of people. It was almost overwhelming!
Overall a great experience and an amazing aquarium!

Such a great aquarium! The layout makes it very easy to navigate to see the beautiful animals, fish, etc. A magical start to our vacation. Highly recommend the extra $5 for the reserved seats at the dolphin show!

This aquarium is amazing. I went there with my elderly mother who needed a motorized wheelchair to get around. The aquarium was very easy for her to navigate, with special areas just for handicapped access viewing. She was able to see all exhibits close up. All of the staff were willing to answer questions. The most exciting part for her was the dolphin encounter. The staff were so helpful in getting her to the dolphin encounter and adjusting the encounter for her inability to kneel down. The staff were very welcoming and loved sharing their knowledge of the animals. We learned alot about dolphins that we didn't already know. We had about twenty minutes with the dolphins doing different activties, such as petting, throwing the ball, etc. This encounter was the highlight of our trip, and I had never seen her so happy. It was the last trip I was able to take with my mother before she passed away. If you get the opportunity to do an animal encounter, I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

I cannot recommend the Sea Otter experience enough. It was a dream come true! You get several interactions with the otter. You touch their paw, pet their side, feed them a snack, and give them a fist bump. It was incredible to be so close to these amazing animals. The aquarium also has beluga whales and whale sharks which are not in a lot of aquariums. It was incredibly crowded, but we expected that on a holiday weekend. If you get there at opening, you can see a lot before the crowds start.

This was my first time visiting, and I enjoyed the exhibits. The dolphin show was fun, but didn't compare to what we are used to seeing at Sea World. The whale sharks are a great spectacle.
The negatives: the website said it was an estimated low attendance day, but it felt so crowded. Getting food was an ordeal. Also, for a non-profit organization dedicated to conservation, it shocked us that they only recycle aluminum cans and bottles. So much of the packaging they use to serve food is recyclable, but they don't recycle it. Either use other packaging that is biodegradable, or start recycling other types of materials. And lastly, it is expensive for what you get out of it. It was cheaper to go to Six Flags, which was significantly more enjoyable.
