Overview
More
Old Fourth Distillery is Atlanta’s first legal distillery since 1906. Located in the heart of the historic Old 4th Ward, their state-of-the-art facility blends cutting edge technology with old world tradition to produce the finest spirits possible from regional, sustainable sources. Old Fourth Distillery's vodka and gin can stand on their own. The spirits are smooth and unique, emboldened with flavor. They don't need fancy bottles or a quaint tasting room to be successful. However, for these creators, a tasteful yet unpretentious experience is about more than what's in the bottle. In fact, it embodies the bottle. Beautiful blue or green glass holds the spirits. The vodka bottle showcases Cotton Mills Lofts; the gin bottle highlighting the old Sears & Roebuck building which is now Ponce City Market. At the tasting room on Edgewood, you'll find marble counter-tops re-purposed from an old East Atlanta Village school. Bead board, old doors, church pews and more

We came here when visiting some friends in Atlanta. The tour is pretty quick and basic (if you’ve been on multi-liquor distillery tours before); the real highlight is the atmosphere and the tasting. We were given shot glasses (which we took home) and strong pours...More

We (three over 21) dropped in to check out the place and find out if we could buy their vodka right there. What a great time! Very casual: owner sitting in the window booth on his laptop (great office!), tour guide telling us the history...More

Hannah gave me an awesome tour of their facility. I learned things about distilling that I missed elsewhere. Beautiful use of historic materials (including school blackboards and marble urinal dividers) in the space, and their products are delicious. I was surprised to learn that they...More

Definitely go by for a tour when they are available. It's an interesting tour if you haven't been through an operating distillery. They are big gin guys, but I prefer their vodka, which has a ton of character compared to most.

Having been on maybe 10 brewery tours and the same number of wine tours, I was expecting a bigger operation. This place is really small. But of all the alcohol tours I have been on, this was among the best. Luna and Gabe gave the...More

(Weekend visitors from Central Florida checking in) You can’t taste Old 4th’s products without signing up for the tour ($5) but there was a package deal… $20 for a tour and a bottle. PRETTY GLEAMING SILVER DISTILLERY The lobby reminded me of some Sherlock Holmes-y,...More

Great vodka and gin made on property by three childhood friends. Great thing to do late afternoon or early evening and then head to a great dinner nearby at Ponce Market or Krog Street Market.
