Opened in 1969 as a “city beneath the streets,” Underground Atlanta still exhibits many of the significant architectural features from its original structure. Visitors can pick up a self-guided History tour brochure at the information booth and discover the history firsthand. Explore six city blocks, 12 acres and three levels of 225,000 square feet of shopping, restaurants and entertainment at Underground Atlanta, a destination with more than 100 years of history.

I went to Georgia State. I rode MARTA and got off at FivevPoints daily. I'm fairly comfortable in a urban environment. I made a mistake by even thinking I could enjoy and share memories of this place with my family. The city should be ashamed....More

I went to the place by MARTA, the Atlanta Metro. And, as soon as I was in the area, the atmosphere wasn't appealing at all. The underground market is overhyped, kind of less of light, spooky types. Not even good shops. Did not feel the...More

A place to see during daylight hours as it forms part of the historic area of downtown Atlanta. We felt safe while walking round, it's a shame to see so many socially challenged people around this area, but hey all city's have there good, bad...More

The underground element is permanently closed. There are some modern above ground elements but it’s not a nice part of town to walk around. Lots of people begging and hassling you. Nothing pleasant to see.

There is aabsolutely nothing to see here. It either needs to revamped or knocked down. Please don't waste your time at this point visiting until they have decided to do something with this location.

We were very excited to go to Underground Atlanta, after reading reviews and seeing pictures. Once our Uber driver dropped us off and told us to “be safe” that should have been a red flag. When we got there it was a ghost town. After...More
