I've walked this area before when I stayed at the Omni for my daughter's wedding in September, and it's a very pleasant place to take a quiet walk. The big difference at the end of June is the punishing heat. Although just a couple blacks...More

We took our grandchildren to the Canal Walk and they had a wonderful time. We walked across the river and saw a train go over on the tressle.

Great small-spot scenic vibe for a quick jaunt after lunch. Its a very relaxing atmosphere while in the heart of downtown Richmond

This was a nice walk we spent about an hour doing. The best part was a pedestrian bridge you can take across the James River that has some Civil War history information along the route. Parking was a bit tricky but well worth the hassle.

We walked the canal on the way to Tregador. This was a very pleasant walk along the water, and we were able to access it close to our hotel.

The canal walk was really nicely done. There’s a pedestrian bridge to cross over the water and walk all around it. Maps show where you are and what happened in the area from there all the way to Williamsburg. Old train track is overtop a...More
