Not only was it humbling to visit Lincoln's tomb but the story of the tomb and to visit the surrounding tombstones to see the dates was great. The war Memorials were top notch and very deserving to those that served and are remembered there

I had no idea that a visit to Lincoln's Tomb would be so moving. The monument from the outside is truly impressive but the inside is the amazing. Please take the time to get out of the car and walk around the entire monument and...More

Lincoln's final resting place is inside this monument. We happened to be there at the same time as a tour group, so we got some extra info.

a visit to Springfield is not complete without going to see and ponder the solemnity of the tomb; be sure to do inside and walk through; moving experience

Just a little history for the Lincoln Tomb site.....(Once a teacher, Always a teacher...) After Lincoln was assassinated he was returned by funeral train from Washington, D.C., to Springfield, Illinois, for burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Originally, he was interred in a family crypt, built...More

Really enjoyed our visit here. The guide at the tomb was fantastic and we learned quite a bit. 18 former presidents have come to pay respects in the past. Very interesting and you could easily spend an hour or two here.

I was here in early January 2018 and pretty much was the only person there. The solitude of a cemetery at this time of year is thought provoking. As a student of the American Civil War I always had an interest in Mr. Lincoln. This...More

Wonderfully done final resting place for Abraham Lincoln, his wife and three of their four sons. Take the time to read about Lincoln as you walk through the tomb. You’ll spend about 15 to 20 minutes here.

Lincoln's tomb, the surrounding cemetery and the War Memorials are very nice. If you love history this is a place you should visit. The entire area is very well kept.

Probably about a 4 mile car ride. I don't think they have busses that go there.

Not only is it open but I think it's a perfect time to visit! We toured on Sunday morning not long after it opened and practically had the place to ourselves.
