If you want the whole, tragic story about the Good Friday, 1964 Earthquake that devastated Anchorage and much of Alaska, this is the place you must visit. The informative signage and paths that follow the "landslides" are of utmost interest. A word to the wise, use mosquito spray. Several people on our tour were bit.

This is a cool spot to take a walk. I was here on a Saturday morning in November and it wasn't too crowded. The parking lot has a good number of spaces. On that end you're right by the airport so you can get some good views of the planes taking off overhead. The main spot offers a sculpture in memory of the earthquake that sank this area some 15 feet lower. There are placards around explaining what had happened here. It's interesting. But really the main draw here are the views. You get some great ones of Mt Susitna and downtown Anchorage. From there you can continue on to the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail which leads you along the coast and I didn't go all the way but I'm pretty sure you can take it into downtown. Nice place to visit.

A beautiful park! Nature at its best. Went in late June and the birch trees against the green underbrush gave the area a mystical feeling. Short walk to viewing point of the earthquake slide damage and water.

We saw the park as part of our Trolley tour. We did not get to enjoy walking or hiking and it was raining so we stayed in the trolley. The stories surrounding the park are incredible. Definitely on the tour list but the way we saw it was just right.

We wanted to like this walk, but this section of the trail was infested with mosquitos like no where in Anchorage.- wow. We ran into this while in the east and north of town but the rest of Anchorage seemed to be fairly pest free, not here - bring your bug repellant or don't bother. Even that may not save you :(

The story they present is great and well done on each of the displays about the history of the earthquake, we'd have rated higher if not so uncomfortable here.

So we were brought here on the trolley tour and got to take a look around. We didn't see nearly enough of the park but what we did was very interesting. Seeing the ripples in the earth from the earthquake was a sight that you most normally wouldn't get to experience. From our observations, it looked like so many people were enjoying the other aspects of the park!

We did not get to enjoy the beautiful views here as it was foggy and rainy. That said, we were still glad to have made this stop and learned about the 1964 earthquake and how it impacted the state. There are plenty of places to explore if you have the time. If you don't, spend 30 minutes learning about the quake and, weather permitting, enjoying the views.

If you want to visit this place, don’t make a special trip. See it when your heading to the airport as it’s very close by. Or see it in conjunction with a trip to the coastal trail which runs through it. It’s ok as a brief stop. Not much to see unless you want to do some hiking or bicycling on the trails.. I spent maybe a half hour there.

Big time earthquake here on 1964 one of the biggest ever and split this town in half. This area push the ground up and made rolling hills and valley. Near the area where the tsunami came and swallowed 77 homes. Interesting place of history
