Went here specifically to wander around and shoot photos. There were several crab fishing boats here, including a couple from Deadliest Catch. the people I encountered were very nice and willing to talk. The memorial to those lost at sea is very special

We found the Terminal really interesting when we were on a bike tour of many areas around Seattle. We especially loved speaking with a fisherman who was willing to tell us all about his career and a typical trip up to Alaska to fish for wild salmon all while painting his boat. It gave us a good idea of the work of this important Seattle industry.

I'm a sucker for docks, piers and boardwalks, so it should come as no surprise that I adored this place. Views, shopping and dining all together; if you're in the mood for some seafood at the port, or just to look around and see, visit!

It's one of our favorite places for a weekend meal, whether upscale at Chinook's or a hearty breakfast at the Bay Cafe. There's also a fish and chips bar and fresh seafood store. After eating, it's pleasant to walk around and soak up the maritime sights and sounds. Compared with other fishermen's terminals, e.g. Bellingham's, this one is smaller. Still, it is our Seattle Ballard treasure!

Big Boats! Small Boats! Recreation boats here apparently not wanted. This is the fishing terminal where people make money at sea, some of which never come back because of a disaster or storms. The Deadliest Catch TV Show boats that roam the Bering Straits are based here. As well as hundreds of others in all sizes. Very interesting place to get a feel of the working sea.

We stopped as part of the Show Me Seattle 3 hour tour. It was a pleasant marina with a few fishing boats in repairing nets. We saw a few spots for a lunch or snack. Nice restrooms. The Memorial to the fishermen lost at sea was well done with a monument and plaques.

If you're into fishing, a "Deadliest Catch" enthusiast, or just like boat harbors, this is the place for you in Seattle. It's a wonderful place to visit. There are all types of boats, tools of the fishing trade, places to eat, and a memorial to the fishermen and women lost at sea. We definitely didn't have enough time here. I plan to return.

This was a stop on our bus tour. I think that that is the wrong way to see this area. We needed to have more time to walk around and to enjoy it. So, if you want somewhere out of downtown to go to when visiting Seattle, I would put this on the list of driving to or taking a cab to for an afternoon walk and dining experience.

Each time I go to Seattle I find something new and exciting to do, from the Space needle, to downtown and all the shops, to cruising the countryside and soaking in the beautiful scenery. Far to many restaurants and cool little places to grab a drink to list. If you go, see some tourist stuff, but make time for just wondering around and discovery too. You will find so many rewarding things to see and do.
