If you have some time in Seattle, be sure to spend some time wandering about the UW campus. It is absolutely beautiful. The architecture is magnificent as are the grounds. We were there for a football game and were surprised that the Student Union eateries and bookstore was closed, those are usually open and doing a good business on game day. Nevertheless, check out the beautiful campus.

The cherry blossom trees looked beautiful, but I saw a lot of people not respecting the kids trying to get to class. Lower your camera phones and get out of the way!

Off campus is a dirty, graffiti sprayed, dumpy area with abandoned store fronts and huge homeless encampments. What a dump. On campus has a museum which of course was closed leaving zero redeeming qualities for my impression of the University of Washington. But if your into ugly urban and lousy architecture then this is paradise.

UDUB, as it is called locally, is a massive campus near Downtown Seattle. It is very, very easy to get lost here. Suggest visitors take a tour or look at a map. The medical complex is right next door. It is the leading hospital in WA. Wonderful to stroll around.

Visited for grand-daughter's Medical Graduation. Still the fine institution I graduated from in 1958!

The campus is beautiful, with the crown jewel being the Suzzallo library and its amazing reading room. You can go in and walk around, get a coffee and enjoy the gorgeous cathedral-like setting. Architecture of the buildings overall is impressive.

Both our sons attended University of Washington. It is a beautiful campus, especially during the cherry blossom season, when hundreds of people (visitors and families of students) come to the campus to take pictures. The buildings on campus consist of both older architectural design and more modern ones. The "Harry Potter" library is a must visit.

We visited the University of Washington with friends after being referred here by a local tour guide. It is an easy trip via the light rail from downtown Seattle. The light rail stops right down the street from the university. There are walking paths throughout the campus. The architecture of the buildings is beautiful and the grounds are well kept with lots of gardens. There was one area where the students were sitting on the lawn drawing pictures for an art class and also a walking tour going on for new students that gave a lot of information about the campus. There were students standing around giving information to visitors about where the various buildings were located. We enjoyed our visit.
