Despite the fact that we don't speak French, we decided to visit this museum since it was included in the price of our pass (12 Euros). It's a small three level museum with a variety of artifacts from Provins. It would have been more interesting...More

A surprising amount of information and objects in such a small place. Warning, everything is written in French and they didnt seem to have English guidebooks. Luckily my husband speaks french, but if you dont it will probably be a lot of guesswork.

Interesting to walk around the old building including the cellar. Displays are poorly presented and described however with no sense of planning. One interesting item was the revolving wooden place to place babies to pass them into convent care.

The museum is located in a house preserved as it was in the 13th century. The cellars are worth a visit.

The best article is the baby depository that was situated outside a church or convent The rest of the articles are unique to the area and give a good insight into local life.
